Stockdale High SchoolOn Monday, March 18, 2002, a large number of students at Danny's high school decorated the campus in blue and white streamers, balloons and posters in memory of Danny. At the flag pole in the center of campus, several photos of Danny, anime posters, and other tributes were displayed. The students also hung up large strips of butcher paper where the kids wrote or attached very special notes about Danny. They also recorded and played a special memorial CD throughout the day. After school, the balloons were released, just as Danny had been released heavenward three days earlier. The gracious care and genuine affection exhibited by the students who organized this event were among the most touching and heart-warming things we experienced in that long, hard week.
