Summer 2001

In a paper for 9th grade English, called "The Great Adventure," Danny wrote:

"We have all had our own odyssey. It can be something that tests all of our abilities, excites the heck out of us, or just something that not everyone has accomplished".My personal odyssey was my 'trek' through Japan. It all began when I started teaching myself Japanese in March 2000...

"This was, by far, the greatest experience of my life. It greatly increased my speaking capabilities, broadened my horizons, and allowed me to get past my speaking shyness. I will definitely go back, and I am planning on being a foreign exchange student to Japan in my junior year."

I (Mom) think that Danny has been back...
